I bake gluten-free bread from a ready made mix (orgran) and I currently wrap it in grease-proof paper and store it in a wooden ‘bread bin.’ Is there a better way I should do it??
Hi. I would recommend you freeze or refrigerator all gltuen free bread, whether store bought or made from mix or scratch. I have not run across any GF bread that was NOT supposed to be fridgerated or frozen. Most GF breads do not contain preservatives like regualr bread does so its going to go bad very quickly if not stored properly. It is a good idea to wrap individual pieces (or two pieces) in wax paper before storign bc when it freezes, it sticks to gether a lot and u have to pry it apart when u want to thaw and eat.
Sadly once u freeze it, u almost always have to toast it, use in grilled cheese, etc, bc it doesnt taste right at room temp (at least that’s my experience.)
