celiac reaction gluten
I have a redness and flaky skin face – Is this Celiac?

I DO have Celiac’s but thats that red splotchiness on my shins, only. It fades as I keep off gluten, but I’m still having this reaction on my face and scalp. What kind of seperate – Or the same- food allergy can this be?

When my son was diagnosed with Celiac’s, we went through a lot of hassle at first learning the basics. The hardest part was watching out for gluten in non-food products: various bath products, prescription and over-the-counter medications, chapstick, and so on. I have found the “Clan Thompson” booklets are invaluable for knowing what products are safe. (Link #1 below)

If you eliminate every source of gluten you can think of and still have the problem, you should visit an allergist or dermatologist — it could be a completely unrelated condition.
