i have celiac diesease and live in orange county does anyone know of a good gluten free store?

U can turn many desserts into gf by just using GF cookies for a crumb crust (liek Envirokidz Vanilla Animal Cookies) or by using a GF pie crust.
Glutino has several cake mixes also

Cashew and Peanut Butter Gluten-free Cookies

INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 egg
1/4 cup salted natural peanut
butter
1/4 cup cashew butter 1/2 cup gluten free, casein free
margarine
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup corn flour
1/2 cup tapioca flour
1/4 cup potato flour

DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2. In a medium bowl, mix together the margarine, brown sugar, white sugar and egg until smooth. Stir in the peanut butter and cashew butter. Combine the baking soda, corn flour, tapioca flour, and potato flour; stir into the batter to form a dough. Roll the dough into teaspoon sized balls and place them 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
3. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Let cool on baking sheets for a few minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely.

Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies

INGREDIENTS:
3/4 cup butter, softened
1 1/4 cups packed brown sugar
1/4 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon gluten-free vanilla
extract
1/4 cup egg substitute
2 1/4 cups gluten-free baking mix
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
12 ounces semisweet
chocolate chips

DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F ( 190 degrees C). Prepare a greased baking sheet.
2. In a medium bowl, cream butter and sugar. Gradually add replacer eggs and vanilla while mixing. Sift together gluten- free flour mix, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Stir into the butter mixture until blended. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips.
3. Using a teaspoon, drop cookies 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 6 to 8 minutes or until light brown. Let cookies cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes before removing to wire racks.

Chocolate orange mousse (8 Servings)

250g (8 oz) plain chocolate
3 tsp gelatine
4 tblsp hot water
550ml (1 UK pint, 2½ US cups) double (heavy) cream
6 eggs, separated
half an orange, grated rind and juice
whipped cream to decorate

Melt chocolate.

Dissolve gelatine in the hot water.

Beat cream until thick, add yolks and beat in. Fold in melted chocolate. Stir in gelatine, orange rind and juice. Leave aside until almost set.

Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold into mixture.

Transfer to serving dishes and leave to set for 1 hour.

Decorate with whipped cream. Serve chilled.

gluten wheat and diary free birthday cake?

i live in cork in Ireland and i spent the day going to every bakery i could find trying to get a gluten wheat diary free birthday cake for my mom. so now im gonna make her one. any easy recipes as im not that good a cook and don’t do it that often. ive never made a cake before but im willing to give it a shot. any recipes will be great thanks

Gluten and Dairy Free Chocolate Cupcakes with Vanilla FrostingPrep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:

* 1/2 cup superfine brown rice flour
* 1/4 cup millet flour
* 2 tablespoons arrowroot starch OR cornstarch
* 6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
* 1 1/2 teaspoons gluten-free baking powder
* 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon guar gum OR xanthan gum
* 2 large eggs
* 1/2 cup light coconut milk OR your favorite dairy-free milk substitute
* 2/3 cup sugar
* 1/4 cup light olive oil OR canola oil
* 1 teaspoon vanilla
* Hibiscus sugar for sprinkling (optional – see tips)

Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350° F / 176° C

Line 12 cupcake tins with paper cups

1. Place all dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Whisk to thoroughly combine.
2. Add wet ingredients and beat on high for 1 minute.
3. Fill paper cupcake liners two-thirds full.
4. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cupcake comes out clean.
5. Cool on a wire rack before frosting cupcakes.

Frost with Gluten and Dairy Free Vanilla Confectioner’s Frosting

Optional- Sprinkle with Hibiscus Sugar
