non gluten products
How to find out which foods contain GMOs and which don’t…?

Hi, all. I’m wondering if there’s a site that tracks how much of the U.S’s various crops are genetically modified, and which food products contain GMOs. (Specifically, I’m trying to find out if the non-organic, gluten-free brown rice pasta from PastaJoy Tinkyada is made with any GM rice. I’ve e-mailed the company twice and they haven’t responded
Any ideas?

Thanks!

Organic foods are not GMO so look for organic when buying wheat, corn, and other processed foods. About 90% of all corn is GMO.
In the produce aisle you can avoid GMO foods by knowing the codes on the little stickers that come on all fruits and vegetables. These little PLU number codes do more than just act as a price scanner for the cashiers. Here is the code:

If a four digit number begins with a 3 then it is irradiated food and should be avoided.
If a four digit number begins with a 4 then it is conventionally grown and could contain pesticides.
If a five digit number begins with an 8 then it is GMO.
If a five digit number begins with a 9 it is organic.

Buy meats that are marked “natural” to avoid hormones and antibiotics.
If the company is avoiding you chances are they use GMO products.
